About
A fullstack developer revisiting the fundamentals — Python, Clojure, system design — and writing down why they work the way they do.
I'm Chandra Shekhar, a fullstack developer. Immutable Orbit is where I go back over the things I build with and work out why they behave the way they do.
The explanation I went looking for and couldn't find is usually the one worth writing. No schedule, no attempt at being comprehensive; some of it will be wrong, so tell me when it is.
What I'm digging into
- Python — past the syntax, into the data model.
- Clojure — why the idioms are idiomatic, and why data flows the way it does.
- System design — from first principles, not the interview checklist.
- "Why is it like this?" — conventions everyone accepts and few can justify.
- Data structures and algorithms — later.
About the name
The fundamentals are fixed points. You pass them again and again, seeing a little more each time. They don't change — your view of them does.
